It was another successful trip for our men’s team on Saturday as they took on the University of Birmingham Aussie Rules Football Club in Birmingham.
While our team proved too strong for Birmingham, who were missing several key players, the game was a great chance to continue to blow out the pre-season cobwebs.
The on-field activities were followed up by a fiercely competitive (not really) Winter Olympics drinking challenge between combined teams of Brummies and Swannies.
Highlights from the day included Joey “The Maltese Falcon” Sultana’s first goal of the season, an incredible Olympic ice skating doubles routine, and minor miracle that all involved made it to the return train on time.
Pre-season training returns to normal this weekend with Saturday’s session taking place between 10am-12pm at Regents Park.
