Why and how the London Swans? Well – I’ve grown up playing soccer all my life – moved here but the season was over and well, we all know about the Heathrow injection – managed to find the Swannies as I was living in Shoreditch. Turns out the ground wasn’t Shoreditch anymore but my first training turned out to be JORTs that night – safe to say I never left the club since….
Why did you want to be a Swans committee member? When you’re invested in a club that’s given you most of your London experience, it’d be rude not to help out and give back so the good times keep on keeping on!
What is your Swans role? Sponsorship Director (I promise the tag was given to me)..
What is your best Swannies memory? Tough one. There’s been so many. Joey usually is involved in many of them. But I think it has to be Belfast the first time. 60 Swans and Swannettes – I remember that Friday night when everyone was rolling in from different flight times to the pub – it didn’t stop with Swannie after Swannie after Swannie – safe to say that was a large night.
Day job? Hedge Funds
Best London advice? Whether or not London is not nice to your back pocket, just get involved in everything. See as much as you can within London, outside of London, travel as much as you can and get involved in other cultures to gain a bit of life experience. Oh – and also join the Swannies! The sense of family here is amazing, the people are amazing, the girls have been amazing for the club and also propping us up competitively too! You’ll never have a shortage of mates to travel with, to go out with, birthdays, farewells, club events, boat parties. You name it!
Best pub in London? Pub on the park
Favouite Euro destination? For a bit of sun: Malta. For the colder seasons: Iceland.
We’ll have more Swannies Profiles and news for you throughout the year, right here on our Blog and social media channels.
